Interiors Parrot

Ozias Echevarría (b. 1931, France) is an artist known for paintings and installations which combine abstraction and representation to build surrealist depictions. Using vibrant colors, his intense palette compliments his fantastical imagery to reflect on ideas of isolation, the loneliest of things, as well as the most sublime. As art critic Kristoffer Marvik said “His work is raw yet refined, emotive and has a complexity that looks away”. His work has been included in numerous exhibitions internationally, including group shows at the Centro Wilfredo Lam in Havana, and the Contemporary Art Museum of Puerto Rico in San Juan.
